One of the most powerful wartime films you’ll ever see is released in January 2018 – and we have a pair of tickets for our winner to attend the UK premiere in London!
Darkest Hour captures four crucial weeks in the early days of World War II. The film begins when Churchill, stunningly portrayed by Gary Oldman, has just taken office as Prime Minister. With the country’s troops trapped in Dunkirk, he must rally the nation in the face of a catastrophic Nazi invasion looming ever closer.
Churchill refuses to consider surrender, and he’s backed by two resolute, powerful women who help him steer the course of the war. His adored wife Clementine (Kristin Scott Thomas) is his closest confidante and critic, who Churchill describes as his ‘pillar’. And devoted personal secretary Elizabeth Layton (Lily James) has a fighting spirit that helps Churchill prepare and deliver the great speeches that will inspire the British people to resist conquest at any price.
The star-studded movie is directed by BAFTA Award-winning director Joe Wright, with a screenplay by Anthony McCarten.
You and a friend could share the thrill of seeing the stars and attending the red-carpet premiere of this inspiring film in London’s Leicester Square on 11 December.
